Landlords Fight Back Against the Government

Shokat Zaman, director of Fraser Russell Chartered Accountants is currently advising his clients on the new tax rules for landlords.  In 2017 the rules are set to change for landlords as they will be taxed on their turnover rather than the profit they make, this means the right to deduct mortgage interest will no longer be allowed. Also the amount of tax relief that can be claimed has been more than halved as it will be 20% instead of 45%. Steve Bolton and Chris Cooper want to get this ruling cancelled and they are planning to launch the second stage of their fight against the government. More
